On the left of the B1077 out of Eye along the Debenham Road
"Colossal fantasy head carved from a tree trunk and set besides the B1077, to the south of Eye Castle, to mark a footpath across fields with the River Dove in the background.
The head relates to the primitivism of the Hoxne Man but is more amusing.
On plaque on base : BIG HEAD By the HEARTS OF OAK ORGANISATION (HOO), 2003. This sculpture is part of the Oak Sculpture Trail, a project commissioned and funded by Mid Suffolk District Council’s Arts Development Service working in conjunction with artists Ray Brooks and Ben Platt-Mills and the local community. Additional funding for this project came from Suffolk County Council, The European community Fund and The Upper Waveney Valley Countryside Project."
