After waymarking a NGS metal rod
here I realized later on that this property is a GPS Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) owned and operated by the U.S. Coast Guard. This government-owned chunk of land contains two phase centers and multiple antennas, one of which stands at least 200 feet.
This particular NGS station is the Antenna Reference Point (ARP) of the GPS antenna. ***NOTE*** Although eight stations appear in the NGS CORS database, only four are functional. CORS 1 and CORS 2 phase centers were decommissioned in 2008 and replaced with CORS 5 and CORS 6 phase centers. Datasheets to any CORS 1 or CORS 2 stations should NOT be used or waymarked.
From the NGS datasheet description:
STATION DESCRIPTION
DESCRIBED BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 2011
STATION IS A GPS CORS. LATEST INFORMATION INCLUDING POSITIONS AND
VELOCITIES ARE AVAILABLE IN THE COORDINATE AND LOG FILES ACCESSIBLE BY ANONYMOUS FTP OR THE WORLDWIDE WEB.

My posted coordinates place you just outside the station fence line, since the public is not allowed to go past the fenced-in government property. Taking pictures of the tall antenna and the smaller phase centers should suffice as a visit to this NGS station.
