This bell is on display at the Northport Elementary and High School in Northport, WA.

The school is at the south end of town on 10th Street at the south end of Silver Crown Avenue. The bell is on the front lawn beside a brick planter, mounted on a steel pole about seven feet off the ground.
We could say that this is the original school bell from Northport's first school, but we have no information pro or con on the issue...

Further research tells us that this could not be the original school bell, as that one was four feet in diameter and has the date of manufacture, ca. 1890, inscribed upon it - a rather large bell!
According to The National Register, the bell was, in 1979, in private hands.
So... our bell remains a mystery bell until the next time we pass through Northport.
