A film about a new district nurse, Joanna, in a small village. The film starts with Joanna taking her driving test and saving the examiner when his pipe gets stuck.
The villagers are initially suspicious of her, expecting a nurse of more mature years. She eventually wins them over with the help of a local farmer, who becomes romantically taken with her.
