The San Benito Memorial Park is a new cemetery adjacent to San Benito City Cemetery and it was dedicated on June 6, 2009. The San Benito Economic Development Corp. paid for the $250,000 memorial project. The new cemetery will have room for 300 graves. The first interment was Baldemar Huerta (Freddy Fender). The Fender grave (visit link) and (visit link) is still the only one here.

Find-A-Grave (visit link) mistakenly lists 3 interments with photographs for the Fender grave only.
