County of cemetery: Otsego County
Location of cemetery: Vanalstine Rd., ½ mile N. of US 20, between Springfield Center and East Springfield
Approximate number of graves: 578

Church, I am told by locals, was just to the right of the flag.
No one could give me a year when the church was removed.
Springfield today is no more than a Presbyterian Church on the highway (US-20) and five or six farm houses.
The marker is on US-20, and directs you about a ¼ mile north to the cemetery.
Locals told me it now is limited use. Meaning, if a close family member is already there, then you can be buried there. Otherwise interments have ceased.

Earliest Burial: 06/08/1780

Latest Burial: 10/18/1962
