The Glebe Barber Shop is located on the second floor of the Avalon Mews building at 201-738A Bank Street, next to Glebe Dental. The barber pole is outside the main entrance at street level.
The Avalon Mews was the former home of the Avalon Theatre that opened in 1928. It was renamed the Glebe Theatre in 1947 until it closed in 1956. Feleena's Restaurant is in the former lobby of the theatre. The stucco-covered building still has a large auditorium structure looming behind the façade. The auditorium space is now occupied by Home Hardware.
