Congress Springs Park in Saratoga is built on a narrow strip of land between State highway 85 and nearby parallel railroad tracks.
It's long, narrow, green, and contains at least 4 youth baseball fields
the fields are one next to the other, all facing the highway sound wall.
There is netting on the sound wall to keep home runs from hitting cars.
One batting cage wall is a 'wall of champions' where celebratory plaques are displayed
There are bleachers, picnic tables behind the backstops and a playground for children who haven't got their spikes yet. Nearby is also a concession stand
dedicated to a young Mr. Summers by the Saratoga Little League.
I believe they play soccer here as well, although the setup is most decidedly for baseball. It's a nice use of what could have been wasted space. There are probably lots of memories here.
