MITCHELL HALL, an auditorium with a seating capacity of almost 1,000 was erected and endowed by an alumnus, H. Rodney Sharp, class of 1900.  Named for Samuel Chiles Mitchell (President 1914-20), the brick auditorium is an adaptation of the Georgian Colonial style of architecture.  It is equipped with a stage for dramatic presentations and with a large pipe organ, the gift of Pierre S. du Pont. Delaware: A Guide to the First State, 1938, pg. 228-229.

Mitchell Hall has been extensively renovated and is one of the finest small theatres in the area.  I continues to be used for live various live performances.
