Hanging left of the front doors to Mt. Laki Community Presbyterian Church is a World War II memorial plaque that reads:
THE CHAPEL OF THIS CHURCH WAS ERECTED BY THE HENRY SEMON FAMILY IN MEMORY OFCHARLES H. SEMON BOB HAMILTON ROBERT BUNNELL ROLLO B. CHEYNE LLOYD C. BARNES ROBERT CAMERON JAMES O. McKEEHANSCHOOLMATES WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES FOR THEIR COUNTRY IN WORLD WAR II |
These schoolmates all went to Henley High School located further north on Hwy 39. There is a nice website managed by the Klamath County Museum that contains a list of all local men and women who've given the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our freedoms and includes the names of these men mentioned on the plaque and when and where they were serving when they were killed in action.
