From the Library web site:

The Weber County Main Library was dedicated on April 4, 1968 and was built to better serve the residents of the ever-growing Ogden area. Built at a cost of $1,750,000; designed by one of Utah’s preeminent architects, John L. Piers; and furnished with trappings designed by the famous team of Charles and Ray Eames and produced by Herman Miller; the Weber County Main Library is one of the most distinctive buildings in northern Utah. It has served as the headquarters library for the System through the decades and has a provided a community gathering place and information hub for over forty-five years.

The Main Library, located at 2464 Jefferson Avenue, serves as the repository for much of the System's reference collection and houses Special Collections, the law Library, the System's Administration team, Technical Services, and our Information Technology Department. It offers a computer lab for business and professional research, computers for public use, free WIFI, a large collection of educational and popular DVDs, a circulating music collection, and a large Periodicals Department that retains magazine and newspaper titles. The Main Library has rooms available for public use on a first-come, first-serve basis as well as rooms that can be reserved for public and private functions.

The Main Library offers numerous programs including children's Discovery Time, bilingual Story Fiesta, a youth Chess Club, book discussions, film screenings, music festivals, cultural programs, exhibits, and a plethora of other activities for all ages.
