No, there are no wizards here. This street starts here at the intersection of Waverly Pl and Broadway and goes north west where it ends at the intersection of Waverly Pl and Grove St. It is the most northern boundary point for Washington Square Park. The road goes right through the University of New York, or NYU. The street got its name from Sir Walter Scott's Novel, Waverly in 1833. Prior to that is was simply called Art St.
