A beautiful pecan tree was planted on the Runnels County courthouse grounds in 1976 in celebration of the bicentennial of the American Revolution.

The Bicentennial Tree at the Runnels County Courthouse is marked with a simple stone monument and plaque. It is 50 feet directly south of the Runnels County Veterans Memorial on the west side of the courthouse grounds.
