Inspiration Point is located along the ridge line that forms the northeastern crest of the basin of Juniper Lake. There are multiple points along the ridge which provide a variety of views the the north, west, and south. The views include Mt. Harkness, Saddle Mountain and Pilot Mountain to the south, Snag Lake, Mount Hoffman and Crater Butte to the north, and Lassen Peak, Brokeoff Mountain and Chaos Crags to the west.
Inspiration Point is reached via a 0.6 mile long trail which begins from the Juniper Lake Trailhead at the north end of Juniper Lake.
