The exciting news about Lock 1 South is that it is being rebuilt; see the
Sydney Daily News. I was able to get in to the fenced-off construction site to see and photograph the lock thanks to the kind assistance of the folks at the
Lockington Volunteer Fire Department; thanks guys!
