The homes were built by one of the area's master builders of the era Thomas Townsend Frasier. Both homes are located along the National Road (now U.S. Hwy 40) and were among the first to be built along the road as the town expanded away from the Ohio River. The first built at 898 National Road was built in 1884 as a personal residence for Thomas T. Frasier. The second at 920 National Road built about 1888 for his brother Wesley B. Frasier. Both brick houses are in an Italianate style. The house at 898 National Road is currently a private residence. The house at 920 National Road is currently a funeral home.
