I had the good fortune to be able to visit South Africa with a tour group which offered numerous diversions, including a trip to Boschendal for a private wine tasting held just for the members of our group. It was a delightful experience in a most beautiful setting with a gracious host who provided five different varieties for us to taste.

Overall Comments::
While I will admit I know NOTHING about wine and simply joined this tour to see the countryside, I found the host very gracious and educational. I am not a wine-drinker and do not know the types of wine but found of the 5 I sipped, I enjoyed the lighest colored wines and did not enjoy the dark ones at all. The tidbits of cheese were delicious.
