Many buildings were destroyed by the massive mud slides and cars were buried in 4’ of sand. While the individuals buried here did not actually die in the flood, their graves were washed away by the flood and they were re-buried at this location. Two of the markers include children and several mark “Two Unknowns”. Most are just identified as “Unknown Male. The small burial spot is located behind the community cemetery and can be reached by an access road just up the hill.
