This Great War memorial stands at the western end of the church of St Luke's in Whyteleafe. It has a later inscription for the Second World War.

The memorial is listed at the War Memorials Archive website as entry 744.

It takes the form of a cross with a stone figure of Christ attached to it. The inscriptions, for the Great War, are along the sides of the bottom two steps with an additional inscription, for the Second World War, resting on the top step.

The main inscription reads:

To the Memory and Honour of the Men in Connection
with this Parish whi fell in the Great War 1914-1918

"I sent you out with mourning and weeping
but God will give you to me again with joy and gladness for ever.
