The wooden timbered baroque church was built on the site of an older building in the late of the 18th century. Used building material was at the time of construction for the church in Bohemia quite unusual and was probably chosen for economic reasons. Author of the project is unknown. The wooden structurewas in the interior and the exterior plastered up to beginning of the 20th century. Initially, there were only pews and altar in the church, an organ was added in 1857 and a new neo-Gothic altar in 1894. A wooden bell tower from 1942 is next to the church. It was built according to the original bell tower, using part of the original timber and there are the original bells from the first half of the 16th century in the bell tower.

Celodrevený roubený barokní kostel (
visit link) vznikl na míste starší stavby na konci 18. století.
Použitý stavební materiál byl v té dobe v Cechách u kostelní stavby už zcela nezvyklý
a byl zvolen zrejme z ekonomických duvodu. Autor projektu je neznámý. Drevená
konstrukce byla až do 30. let 20. století v interiéru i exteriéru omítnuta. Puvodne
byly v kostele pouze lavice a hlavní oltár, v roce 1857 pribyly varhany a v roce 1894
nový, neogotický oltár. U kostela stojí drevená zvonice, která pochází z roku 1942.
Byla vystavena podle puvodní zvonice za použití cásti puvodních trámu a jsou v ní
i puvodní zvony z první poloviny 16. století.
