In Metamora, at the town green, is the Metamora Administration Building.

The building is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of W. Davenport and E Mt. Vernon. The village green is across Davenport.

The building is made of brick and is one story tall. There are two parts, next to each other - joined by an open walkway. The left (north) one has a dated stone saying 'Village Hall - 1930', while the other building has an engraved stone saying 'Metamora Administration Building.'

Metamora is a village with a population of 3,636 (2010 Census). It is part of the Peoria Metropolitan Area. It was the county seat of Woodford County from 1843 through 1896. The brick building at the north end of the green was the county's courthouse. This courthouse is one of only two still standing that Abraham Lincoln regulary visited doing his work on cases as a lawyer.

Metamora does have a Mayor. I could not find out more concerning the type of government for this village.
