One of the many special works of art created on the vast site of Sydney Olympic Park, home the Sydney 2000 Olympics and Paralympics, is the "Games Memories" a Volunteer Walk consisting of a forest of steel poles listing the names of all the Volunteers, a wonderful piece of memorabilia that records these names for posterity. A diagram illustrates the sequence of the walk and the location of each section of names listed alphabetically.
Games Memories is a permanent tribute to the volunteers who made the Sydney 2000 Olympic and Paralympic Games such a magnificent occasion. The overwhelming enthusiasm and team spirit of the volunteers inspired all those who attended the Games.
