In Peoria, along Alta Road, is the building for Alta Lodge No. 748 which has a cornerstone with the year 1967.
The lodge hall is located on the east side of the road, north of the intersection with Allen Road and Grange Hall Road, and just north of the Rock Island Rail Trail.
The building is a white cinder block structure with a low-peaked roof. The cornerstone is to the right of the front entrance when facing the building from the road.
Not much more could be learned about the building. The Grand Lodge A.F&A.M State of Illinois site states that Alta Lodge meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month. Alta Chapter No. 286 Order of Eastern Star also meets in this building.
