The community of Elk annually designates Father's Day weekend in June for Elk Pioneer Days. "Elk Park Days", as it is usually called, is an event full of food, fun, and music on the Magic Creek Stage. It is held at Elk Park in downtown Elk and the festivities include the Friday Night Family Dance with live music, the Firefighter's Breakfast, a parade, crowning of the Elk Days royalty, Thunder Valley Car Show, continuous live music throughout the weekend,lots of kids' activities, food, the VFW Beer & Wine Garden, and merchandise booths usually sporting a plethora of hand-crafted arts & goods.
