Fort Walsh-Fort Qu'Appelle Trail
The Fort Qu'Appelle-Fort Walsh cart trail crossed here, running North-East to South-West, used extensively by traders, freighters, mounted police, ranchers and other settlers, it was the main East-West thoroughfare prior to the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1883.
Demonstration Farm
Two kilometres North-East of here, from 1879 to 1882 the Department of Indian Affairs operated a Demonstration Farm for instruction of Indians in Agriculture later the property became the ranch of Horace A. Creeley, Member of the Legislature Assembly of the North-West Territories, 1898-1905.
