After a long day of hiking this is a great place for a quick splash before heading back to the car. It's also a great alternative to the nearby Denny Creek natural water slide because it won't be crowded with people. There are lots of great spots on the rocks for picnics and there are actually several small pools above and below this one. It's the easiest to access though and seems the deepest (about 4 feet). The water is cold, as you can see on my sons face in the picture, but on a hot summer day that doesn't matter.
Take the Denny Creek exit off of I-90 and follow signs to Annette Lake Trailhead. Follow the trail for about 1/2 mile until you get to a bridge that crosses Humpback creek. The pool is just below the bridge. If you continue another 1/4 mile you will intersect with the Iron Horse Trail. Take a left at that trail (West) and in 1.6 miles you will be at the old Snoqualmie Train Tunnel. If you have a flashlight the tunnel is fun to hike in (no longer used for trains), although it is a couple of miles long, I believe.
