MX0934 - NGS 'M 1431' Metal Rod - Weed, CA - U.S. Benchmarks on Waymarking.com

I recovered this National Geodetic Survey metal rod from 1988 in good condition. It is enclosed under a hinged metal cover. The rim of the enclosure is stamped 'M 1431' with the year '1988'. There is an orange carsonite witness post behind the rod and cap for easy recovery. My posted coordinates along with the NGS datasheet will place you very close to this metal rod.

NOTE--ACCESS TO DATUM POINT IS HAD THROUGH A 5-INCH LOGO CAP. THE MARK IS 0.3 METERS SW FROM A WITNESS POST AND FENCE THE MARK IS 0.3 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
