In actuality, the Flaming Gorge is more of a home for Manila. While not actually in the Gorge and a few miles from Flaming Gorge Reservoir, Manila is the only urban center of any size on the western side of the reservoir. It is the supply center for all visitors to this very scenic and important recreational area in northeastern Utah.
