This NGS benchmark is located just off Hwy 31 in Lake County, OR.

I recovered this U.S. Coast & Geodetic Survey benchmark from 1931 in good condition (mark is solid) although the concrete post it's imbedded in has eroded greatly and in jeopardy of losing the mark to the elements. This benchmark is also used as Reference Mark 2 for the nearby WORLOW series (which I recovered uprooted and lying on their sides). The disk has the designation stamping of 'J 72' and '1931' on the disk face. My posted coordinates will place you very close to this mark. The NGS datasheet info is adequate for station recovery.
