This BC Highways Webcam is on the south side of Highway 1, 2km. south and east of the Horseshoe Bay Ferry Terminal. That is where the Trans Canada Highway temporarily ends.

The Trans Canada begins again when one exits the ferry at Nanaimo. Of course there are other ferries running to islands other than Vancouver Island, as well.
When one travels between the BC interior and Vancouver Island, as we have a few times, one will pass about 44 BC Highway Webcams just between Horseshoe Bay and Hope. Many of them are multiple cameras, with either two or four cameras at a given intersection. This is the first one encountered on one of our return trips from "The Island". It's mounted on the first light standard west of where Highways 1 and 99 split, on the south side of the highway, looking east.
This webcam updates every 2 minutes. BC Highway webcams are owned and operated by the B.C. Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. They are accessible online at DriveBC.
