Tallassee Fire Department was founded around 1963. It currently has a Class 5/9 ISO rating. Their response area covers parts of Elmore, Southern Tallapoosa, and Northern Macon Counties.
Tallassee's main station is known as Station 10 but has respectively been named Station 1 due to the fact that we operate out of two stations. Station 1 is located on North Ann Street and Station 2 is located at 118 Washington Street near the intersection of Macedonia Road and Notasulga Road on the east side of town in East Tallassee.
Station 1 has living and sleeping quarters and and houses 7 emergency vehicles and that are equiped with the necessary tools of firefighting. Station 2 houses 2 emergency vehicles.
