From the Sheridan city web site:

Located halfway between Yellowstone Park and Mount Rushmore, Sheridan welcomes visitors from all over the globe. With the Big Horn Mountains as a backdrop, Sheridan is home to world class fly fishing, hiking, camping and winter sports. We have a beautiful, vibrant downtown – a shoppers’ delight! We also have over 13 miles of biking/walking paths, the WYO Theater, museums, fantastic restaurants, a top notch rodeo – - and so much more.

Sheridan enjoys a rich history. In June of 1876 General Crook and his troops were camped on Little Goose Creek south of Sheridan. They were fishing on Teepee Creek when they saw smoke to the north which as it turned out was coming from the Battle of the Little Big Horn where General Custer met his demise.

Address: Franklin Avenue at northern city limits
