Burke is a city in Gregory County, South Dakota. It is the county seat and has a 2010 population of 604, reflecting a 10% decline in population from the 2000 census.
Following immigration of German, English, Irish, Czech, Norwegian, and Dutch peoples into the area, the town of Burke was incorporated in 1906.
