Bonesteel is a town in Gregory County, South Dakota, along US Highway 18. It has a population of 275 as of the 2010 census, reflecting a drop in population of 7.4% since the 2000 census.
As with many small towns in the area, German, Irish, English, Czech, Norwegian, and Dutch settled the area and soon established a town.
