This mark, together with the bolt, is cut into the south east face of the tower of St Nicholas Church on the east side of Church Street.

The mark is cut into the stone of the church tower and has suffered from the face of the stone breaking away. The left part of the datum line is still in fair condition as is the bolt but the right side of the datum line and arrow are just about completely obliterated.
