This modern pedestrian and cycle arch bridge gives access across a canal on the wharf side at Malmö port.

At one time the port of Malmo was the 3rd largest port in the world. It has since declined and parts of the area have been redeveloped with apartments and restaurants replacing some of the industrial area.
As part of this redevelopment this small bridge has been installed to give pedestrians and cyclists better access around the various wharves.
It crosses a canal and connects the area in front of central station with Bagers Place.
The date marker has been placed in a stone ramp leading up to each end of the bridge and incorporates the coat of arms of the city of Malmö. The co-ordinates are taken from the end furthest away from Central Station.
