Gothic Revival church built by Frank Wills. Joseph Blount Cheshire was rector for 35 years resigning in 1869 due to poor health. Fire damaged interior in 1884 and a new church was built in nearby Scotland Neck.Interior has been restored.Old cemetery located around the church building. Revolutionary War Colonel buried in cemetery among other politicians.
