Mission Trails Regional Park is primarily a conservation area with hiking trails and rock climbing...and San Diego's highest point.
And in the Visitors Center there is a corridor ramping up to the second floor which has several sculptures of the wildlife from the area. Most of the sculptures are part of a wall display that resembles a mountainous landscape...a coyote, a mountain lion, but there is also a 3-dimensional sculpture of an owl on the ceiling.
A sign accompanying the work discusses the animals and indicates that the bronze sculptures were created by the San Diego Natural History Museum without revealing the artist(s).
