One side identifies this as a "W of the W" monument, the other side has the name and other information about Ware giving the place of birth and death, but not the birth date. It has a definite lean, but does not appear about to fall. Around the top of a WOW icon image of an axe, mace, and log, with also a dove, is: "BRAZOS CAMP NO. 104. W. OF THE W." and below is BRYAN, TEXAS". W of the W is believed to be an abbreviated Woodmen of the World.
Was the inscription legible?: Yes
