This cemetery has one of the oldest graves that I have discovered in Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri - an infant who was born and died in 1822. The Civil War battle of Pea Ridge was fought on the ridge about 5 miles east of town, not in the town, which was established before 1850.
