This McDonalds used to be a traditional McDonalds - walk in counter only, external golden arches, and red and white tile interior. Today it has changed and yet has remained much the same.
When time came to modernize this McDonalds, rather than removing all traces of the old and starting over, they built a whole new modern restaurant behind the original. They attached the two together and the part that was originally the entire restaurant is the seating area. This McDonalds still has the external golden arches and the "new" seating area is decorated in the retro red and white tile with modern touches thrown in. The restaurant is decorated with old photos and an old milkshake machine is displayed in near the seating area.
