CZ: Na tomto miste dne 20. srpna 1948 tragicky havaroval dvoumotorovy letoun C-3 od Leteckeho dopravniho pluku s peti muzi na palube. Byl mezi nimi i slavny ceskoslovensky predvalecny letecky konstrukter inzenyr Antonin Husnik, inzenyr Vladimir Karmazin, znamy a vynikajici odbornik na letecke motory, autor mnoha clanku v dobovem leteckem tisku a jeden ze zakladatelu tehdejsiho Technickeho muzea. Onen nestastny den odstartoval vojensky dopravni C-3 z letiste Praha -Kbely s ukolem dopravit oba zname letecke konstruktery na jednani do Liberce. Behem letu se dostal do spatneho pocasi a posadka se podle vseho v obtizne situaci pokusila proletet naslepo pod mraky. Jejich stroj se roztristil o uboci Jestedu. Chybelo jim jen par desitek metru aby jestedsky hreben preleteli a dostali se do sirokeho udoli, ve kterem lezi Liberec. Stesti jim vsak nepralo. Ing. Husnik havarii s tezkymi zranenimi, nekolika zlomeninami a popaleninami prezil. Vynesl z trosek letounu tela svych druhu, kterym uz nebylo pomoci a jeste sam dosel na silnici k autu a byl okamzite dopraven do nemocnice. O svuj zivot dokazal bojovat jeste dalsich sest dni. Inzenyr Husnik zemrel na nasledky popalenin dne 26. srpna 1948 ve veku 54 let. Ve stejný den byl na hrbitove v Praze na Malvazinkach pohrben inzenyr Karmazin.

EN: At this point of 20th August 1948 tragically crashed twin-engine aircraft C-3 of air transport regiment, with five men on board. Among them was the famous pre-war Czechoslovak aircraft designer engineer Antonin Husník, engineer Vladimir Karmazín, known and outstanding expert on aircraft engines, the author of numerous articles on contemporary aviation press and one of the founders of the former Science Museum. That unhappy day started military transport C-3 of the Prague-Kbely with the task of delivering both famous aircraft designers at the meeting in Liberec. During the flight, got into bad weather and the crew apparently in difficult circumstances blindly tried to fly through the clouds. The machine crashed into the hillside Jested. They lacked only a few meters to Jested crest came and got into a broad valley, which lies in Liberec. But luck did not favor them. Ing. Husnik crash with serious injuries, multiple fractures and burns survivor. Earned from the wreckage of the aircraft bodies of their comrades, who was not even help himself and went on the road to the car and was immediately transported to the hospital. About his life could fight for another six days. Engineer Husník died of burns of 26 August 1948 at the age of 54 years. On the same day he was at the cemetery in Prague Malvazinky buried engineer Karmazin.
