This utility box is located on the SW corner of the intersection of Capitola Road and Chanticleer Avenue. It features a classroom scene with a teacher surrounded by students at their desks. The teacher stands in front of a green chalk board that spans the sides of the box. The teacher points to Today's Lesson. The chalkboard says "Today's Date: May 23, 1945", but I don't think green chalk boards were in use back then, only blackboards. On another side some children are doing an arithmetic lesson on the green board, while on the back, a lonely boy sits by himself with a dunce cap on.

This box was painted by artist Vanessa Stafford. More painted utility boxes by Vanessa Stafford can also be seen at this waymarking.com link.

The (unpainted) utility box can be seen in Google Street View.
