Like all theme parks, SeaWorld San Antonio is a fun place to visit, especially when you are a child ... or a grandparent hosting the grandkids. The park covers about 150 acres and has pathways that allow access for everyone to experience the oceanic adventures. Naturally, the entertainment centers/exhibits are modular and surrounded by attractions like giant roller coasters or water rides. The normal souvenir shops and refreshment stands are strategically placed at junctions near the various main attractions. These junctures are where the penny smashers are found!
I was able to find six (6) penny smashers dispersed throughout SeaWorld San Antonio. Each one offered four (4) different designs and was made of clear material (Plexiglas) that allows the inner mechanics of the gears and wheels to be observed while smashing the penny. Also, the front panel gives ads and enticements to the tourist passing by, as well as its penny press number! This penny smasher has Penny Press 4 printed across the bottom of the front panel and offered a selection of a shark, two jumping dolphins, a dolphin head, and a giant sting ray as press options. Penny Press 4 is north of the Dolphin Cove and feeding area, and across from the Sharks and Coral Reef exhibit building. It is located outside the entrance to the Oceans Treasures shop.
SeaWorld San Antonio is in the southwest part of San Antonio, TX and is one of many attractions to see when in San Antonio, either as a local resident or as a visitor. Cost of a one-day adult ticket (ages 10 & up) is $52 and children ages 3-9 are $44 one-day at the time of this posting. Check the SeaWorld website for current prices.
