Maria Feliciana Marim Marques was born in this house on the 19th March 1906 and died in Porto Alegre - Brazil, on the 23rd February 1972.
She was a poet and founded - together with other two female writers - the regional newspaper Avezinha ("little bird"). The newspaper was founded in 1921, and it was published until 1936. Many years later, in 1976, after the Portuguese revolution, it came back, with one of the founders as the new director.
The plate was placed on the wall of the house in 1978.
