Cairn, Portela de Grande, St. James Way - Portugal - Cairns on Waymarking.com

Alongside the Portuguse camino, Way of St. James, in a eucalyptus forest you will find this wayside cross. Over time the cross has been supllied with lots of stones and small items from the pilgrims passing by. What makes this cross different from many of the others on the route, is the amount of stones and items and a memorial plaque.

Greatly loved and greatly missed

Michelle Kleist's parents and the pilot were also killed at the accident, but her brother and his daughter survived. Read more about the accident here
