Vilarinhos is a small village, almost a suburb of the town of São Brás de Alportel, located by the road connecting that town to Loulé. This spring house it's a pleasant place to stop for a few minutes.
It's known that in 1757 there was already a spring house in this location, but there are no references to the building of the structure which stands there nowadays.
Curiosity: on the spring house there is an inscription mentioning the Municipality of Faro although the place is located in the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel. This is because São Brás de Alportel is a realtively new municipality and when the spring house was built, this area was part of Faro municipality.
