The public library in Montesano is nearly always busy, and the citizens have proven they find it a treasured resource for the community by adding a Shakespeare-themed flower garden in front of the building (complete with a bust of Shakespeare) as well as decorating the inside of the library. This mural graces the wall behind the check-out counter, and at first glance appears to be a random mass of color, but when viewed more closely, it displays several important aspects of Montesano, including the forest industry, rivers, fishing, wildlife, and past history, such as the riverboat.
I was unable to locate the artist(s) signature, but it is a lovely piece of art.
