Ford Tractor - south of Dayton, Oregon - Neon Signs on Waymarking.com

I literally stumbled across this sign in the middle of nowhere. It's on display in front of a private farm, about 30 yards from the main highway, but the farm itself has no identifiers. A bit of research tells me that Ford sold their tractor division to FIAT Agri in 1993, but I'm sure this sign is older than that. Even though it was daytime, I could hear that the sign was drawing electricity. That, and the still functioning vehicle scale next to it, tells me that this was once either a dealership and repair shop for Ford Tractors, or simply a large commercial farm that received some subsidy from Ford. The vehicle scale is surrounded by pristine grass, showing that it is no longer in use, either. Quite the puzzle.

Even though the sign is about 30 yards off the road, visitors should be able to take good pictures without any trouble. I snuck up and took some closeup pictures, and never saw a soul, but that was technically trespassing.
