House, Trees, Sky - Boston, MA - Artistically Decorated Utility Boxes on Waymarking.com

In the Boston neighborhood of West Roxbury is this painted utility box that is titled, "House, Trees, Sky."

The box is located on the north side of Centre Street, across the street from the entrance to Roch Bros. Supermarket. It stands just off the sidewalk and near a building.

The box has a scene of brightly colored suburban houses among trees and a bright blue sky.

The web site for Boston's Paintbox Program, Public Art, shows this box among many others. The boxes are arranged by date. This one has the oldest date, January 1, 2008, along with the one below. Thus, it shares with another as the oldest painted box in the program.

The artist was Gary Koeppel.
